I also want to say thank you for all the loyal readers that still comes to my blog once in a while to check out if I am still alive! Lol!

By the way, I found out that there are an amazing bunch of buzz surrounding Google Chrome , the giant company attempt to test the web browser’s market or maybe some other plans for world domination.

I was pretty impressed on how fast it is and the way it handles processes separately is pretty convincing, because I’ve never experience crashes whatsoever (sorry Firefox 3!).

Here are some of 21 cool Google chrome tips that I’ve found from all over the Internet:

1. To search for keywords quickly using Google Chrome’s Omnibar (pimped up version of address bar), start typing with the ? sign or just press Ctrl+K or Ctrl+E keyboard shortcuts.

2. Use Google specific search capability from within the Omnibar, for example: 1USD in MYR for currency conversion or define:words for quick meaning of words.

3- You can resize the comment text box inside any blog with Google Chrome.

4- Use “Inspect Elements” to view computer resources used by a particular web page, in any tab that you wish for.

5- Use other search engine other than Google by right clicking on the Omnibar and choose “Edit search engine“.

6- Drag and drop Google Chrome’s tab to create a separate browser window.

7- Easter Egg! Typing about:internets inside Chrome’s Omnibar will display a cool, moving tube screen saver.

8- Press Ctrl+Shift+N to get into “Incognito Mode” to browse privately without the browser saving any previously typed data.

9- By default, Google Chrome will send your search data back to Google. Turn this off by right-clicking on the Address Bar and un-checking “Use a suggestion service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar“.

10- If you found an interesting link but would like to open it without Chrome’s saving any kind of data about it, right click on the link and choose “Open link in Incognito Mode“.

11- Copy a keyword from anywhere, right-click on Address Bar and choose “Paste and Search” for quick keyword search.

12- Create quick shortcuts of your favorite web-page on your desktop using “Create application shortcuts“.

13- You can import bookmarks and settings from Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

14- “Stats for nerds” - check and compare other web browser’s memory usage from within Google Chrome’s interface by typing about:memory inside the Omnibar.

15- Opening a new tab will result in a “speed-dial” page that shows your most visited website.

16- Cool looking web “History” screen with the exact timestamp when you surfed it. Available via the Ctrl+H shortcut.

17- “Open the following pages” option allows you to open multiple tabs as your homepage.

18- Press Ctrl+B to show or hide Chrome’s bookmark toolbar.

19- Run and login to two email / IM etc. accounts at the same time with Google Chrome’s normal and Incognito Mode run side by side.

20- There is already a portable version of Google Chrome for those who want to show off.

21- Use the middle mouse button and click on a link to open it in a new tab (a copy cat of Firefox’s cool trick!)

In Jelly Jumper, you will guide a luminous green jelly in the form of a human to jump onto targets on a black Logitech keyboard. The objective of the game is pretty simple - you need to guide the Jelly Jumper to the keyboard keys marked in green using arrow keys on your keyboard. The game will set a number of possible jumps that you can do before you can complete a level, but I found out that you can still advance to the next level even if you use to jump more than that.

To make this game more interesting, there will be a few obstacles to make the games harder. Your Jelly guy will disintegrate if you crash-land on a red key or off the keyboard so make sure you guide it well! There will be some special keys too for example; blue keys that allows you to jump on it once before it disappears, orange key that will move you to the opposite direction depending on the arrow key that you press etc. In harder levels, the dreaded killer red keys will morph to different locations on the keyboard.

If you can complete 10 levels of the game, Logitech’s will generously give you a 20 percent discount on some of its product! Pretty decent eh? Overall, Logitech’s Jelly Jumper is an awesome game that makes you jump from your chair and curse at the same time. LOL.

Tip: To land safely on a target key, use the jumper’s shadow as a guide.

I love Firefox 3 because…

• Being one of the participants who helped Mozilla Firefox to create a Guinness world record (official).
• Being able to print my name on a downloadable Firefox 3 certificate.

• Hated by many but I think I am in love with the “Awesome Bar“!
• One click “star” bookmarking gets to “unsorted bookmark” folder.
• Tags (at last!)
• The password manager does not pop-up!
• Check previous download link.
• Search for add-ons does not require a user to go to the extensions web page.
• The memory-eating-monster was banished (or at least lost some of its powers).
• Gotta love the robots easter egg! (type about:robots in address bar)

I hate it because…

• It crashes and crashes and crashes and crashes a few times a day. And yes, I do click on “Send Report” button.

• Some of my favorite extensions like Aardvark, Copy Links etc. are still not compatible with FF3.

That is all about it, based on my personal experience in the past few weeks. Based on what I’ve seen so far, I still in love Mozilla Firefox!

p/s please fix the crash bugs. Flock and Opera is catching up, fast!

TaskSwitchXP is an open-source, user-friendly task management utility that aims to improve the original Alt+Tab task switcher and Windows Task Manager. In Shuffle, there is a big brown board with two groups of balls facing each other. You will take the red ball while the computer will take the yellow ball.

The game objective is very simple: using your mouse to control the speed and direction of the ball (drag and release), you need to hit and knock all of computer’s yellow balls off the board. Win 4 rounds and you will advance to next level. If the computer won 4 rounds before you do, you lose. To score high points in this game, you should have more red balls on the board at the end of the game.

To make Shuffle much more interesting, your balls will be moved up the board each time you win a round. Additionally, the number of red balls that you have will be reduced to make things more difficult. In subsequent levels of Shuffle, you will start with a small number of red balls compared to your opponent.

Shuffle looks like an easy game to beat but wait until you reach the second or third game levels. Give Shuffle a run today!

You should have Adobe AIR installed before you can then download and install Doomi. Doomi is a really simple to-do application without all the extra bling-blings. You can add a task by entering it on the only field available and press Enter. To view all of them, press the blue, big down arrow. By pressing the small clock icon on the right side of a task, you can Doomi to remind you of the task later. Simply put it, you don’t need to read boring manuals before you can start using Doomi.

Marking a task as completed can be done by selecting the checkbox next to it. You can also view all of the completed tasks by pressing “Show Old“. And yeah, I hope the developers should not forget to add a minimize-to-system-tray feature in the next version of Doomi. I can’t imagine looking at my to-do list all the time floating on my desktop. Overall, Doomi is a super simple To-Do List tool for those who love simplicity and shiny things on their desktop.
