Rename Multiple Files in Windows Effortlessly Without Any Third Party Tools
August 27, 2009 – 1:36 pmAs corny as how the title sounds like, it is true! I don’t know about this trick until I bumped into a page from Microsoft’s Windows site. You can actually rename multiple files quickly using only the Windows Explorer and nothing else! The best part is (ahem!), I am going to share this will all my readers.

How to Rename Files in Batch Using Windows Explorer
1- Using Windows Explorer, open the folder that contains all the files that you want to rename. I always use this trick to rename photo files that was imported from my camera.

2- Using your mouse or keyboard (CTRL + A), select all files that you want to rename.

3- Press the F2 button on your keyboard. Now, you are required to rename only the first file on the list with any name that you like (in this case, what I like!).

4- Press Enter to complete the batch renaming files process. Automagically, all the files in the list will be renamed!

That’s it! Cool batch rename trick eh?

Are you fucking kidding me? This is totally lame and useless if you want to actually rename files systematically.
It’s not even some hidden function or trick.
You are a complete failure!
