11 FriendFeed Greasemonkey Scripts That You Don’t Want To Miss
June 2, 2008 – 11:00 pmFor those who are not familiar with Greasemonkey, it is actually an awesome Firefox add-on that allows you to run installable scripts that improves the appearance and usability of a website. FriendFeed meanwhile, is a fantastic web service that enables you to keep up-to-date on the web pages, bookmarks, photos, videos and music that your friends and family are sharing. This post will enlighten you with 11 useful Greasemonkey scripts that help you improve your FriendFeed user experience .

First and foremost, you need to install and run Greasemonkey for Mozilla Firefox before you can click on all the link titles below to install the scripts. Be rest assured that I’ve tested all of them to make sure it is working as promised.
1- FriendFeed Filters: Friends & Groups

Designed to reduce the amount of noise in FriendFeed. Filter your friend’s items by moving and filtering them into separate groups.
2- Pagerization + Friend Feed Pagerization Fixer

Pagerization seamlessly moves you to a new page at the bottom of the screen with a mouse scroll. Pagerization Fixer fixes the link disappearance problem (needs Pagerization to work).

Allows you to mark interesting items and read them later in a dedicated tab.
4- Friend Feed Remove Visited Links

Reduce noise by removing any links that you have already visited.

Adds 140 character counts on your Twitter reply function and the ability to post tweets from within FriendFeed.

Enables you to save your favorite FriendFeed’s search queries in an easy to use sidebar list.
7- Friend Feed Reshare Any Link

Allows you to re-share any links from FriendFeed to various other social bookmarking services via add2any.com
8- Friend Feed 50 / Friend Feed 100
Instead of showing only 30 items per page, use these scripts to make it either 50 or 100.
9- Friend Feed Tweak Refresh Rate

Make your FriendFeed page auto-refresh to show you new items at a time specified by yourself.
10- FriendFeed TinyURL Resolver

Click on the question mark to view the full URL of TinyURL that is most likely used in Twitter based messages.
![]()
Displays the domain name at the end of all shared links.
There are also other FriendFeed’s Greasemonkey scripts that I’ve found but they don’t really work nicely on my computer. Let me know of any scripts that I’ve missed out and your thoughts about the scripts above by leaving a comment or two below.
