13 Splendid, Free Windows Virtual Desktop Manager

With a virtual desktop function, you can have more than one desktop inside your operating system, where you can switch between them easily, in real time. The reason to have multiple desktops is that it make your desktop items manageable - for example, you can have one virtual desktop to open all your blogging applications, one virtual desktop to open your social applications and so on. Therefore, you won’t have any trouble in finding an application to use quickly. Having said that, if you are looking for a free, virtual desktop manager for Windows, take a look at the list that I’ve compiled below.
1- Dexpot
Use up to 20 virtual desktops that have different settings each. Easy enough to use for beginner and will satisfy advanced users too. My personal pick! Windows Vista ready.
2- Shock 4Way 3D
Use up to 4 different virtual desktops where you can rotate between them in 3D (requires OpenGL). Windows Vista ready.
3- Vista/XP Virtual Desktop Manager
CodePlex’s version of virtual desktop manager program. Comes with a full screen thumbnail based preview.
4- VirtuaWin
Simple, elegant, yet highly configurable and extensible. Also available in portable version. Windows Vista ready.
5- MicroDesk
Creates up to 99 virtual desktops!
6- VirtualDimension
Open source, fast and unlimited virtual desktop manager.
7- Deskman.exe - Microsoft’s Virtual Desktop Manager
A part of Microsoft’s PowerToys that adds extra useful functionalities to Windows. Up to 4 desktops are available. (I wonder why they didn’t include this by default)
8- Virtual Desktop Toolbox
A virtual desktop manager that comes full loaded with advanced features.
9- Windows Desktop Manager Basic
A really basic tool that lets you create up to 10 virtual desktops.
10- DeskIllusion
A virtual desktop manager that is really small in size - 57KB! Can create up to 30 virtual desktops.
11- VividDesktop
Another simple to use virtual desktop manager.
12- ExyBar
A desktop enhancement tool that comes with a built in virtual desktop manager.
13- DeskWin
A simple virtual desktop manager that supports Windows 9X and NT only.

Pretty Neat. I have used Virtau Win which Fits my requirement, No issues on system performance and light.
