Use Hinx Backup Easy for Simple File Backup
April 9, 2008 – 11:42 pmIf you ask any system administrators out there on how to prepare yourselves for any system disaster such as a hard disk failure, most probably they will spit out the “B” word which referred to backup. Backup also means that you are being proactive - which is a good trait to have. Having said that, you can try Hinx Backup Easy as your first, simple file backup program.

Hinx Backup Easy is really simple - it has only three tabs and the interface is almost dumb-proof. You can backup to a local location (another hard disk drive is a good choice) or a remote location via FTP. First and foremost, you need to add-in files and folders that you are going to backup. If you choose to backup to an FTP server, do fill in the on the remote tab. In this example, I choose to accomplish a local backup for a folder in the C:\ partition to the D:\ partition.

To start a manual backup, click on the obviously placed “Backup” button. Relax and wait for the task to finish - as easy as ABC.
I suggest that you choose the automatic backup options to automate the process (and save yourself from forgetfulness!). To do so, you need to add the specific time and days that you want Hinx Backup Easy to work it out. Remember to click the “Automatic Backup” and “Backup Modified Files Only” options to speed up the backup process. Save all changed options once you are done.

There you go, a super simple file backup tool called Hinx Backup Easy. No extra bling-blings yet it served its purpose. Download Hinx Backup Easy today!
