Example Usage of PhraseExpress: AutoComplete Home Address.
One of the things that I hate when typing a letter or filling forms is typing my own home / office address over and over again. With PhraseExpress, I can save some typing time with the auto-complete feature. Here is how to do it:
1- Make sure PhraseExpress is running. You can see the “a dialog bubble with the exclamation mark icon” on the system tray if its running.
2- Right click the icon and click “Settings“. You can see a list of PhraseExpress sample phrases and sentences, categorized inside a few folders.

3- Click on the root of the PhraseExpress tree-view. Next, click the “New Folder” at the bottom to create a folder that will contain the address. Name the folder “Address“. Choose a hotkey to access this folder (e.g Shift + Alt + A).

4- Click on the created folder again and click the “New Phrase” button. Key in “Home Address” for “Description” and your own home address for “Phrase Content“. Next, key in homeaddress# for this address’s “Autotext” shortcut. You can repeat this step again for other addresses (office, mom’s house etc.). The end results should resemble the image below.

5- To test the above settings, open your Windows Notepad or any text editing tool of your choice.
6- To insert an address, click “Shift + Alt + A“. PhraseExpress will automatically pop-up choices of addresses pulled from the “Address” folder above. Select an address and click the Tab key to insert it. Another way to insert an address is by typing the “Autotext” shortcut. Based on the example above, you can key in homeaddress# and click the Space key to quickly insert your home address.

Done! Now you can use this shortcut to fill in forms, type letters and more. Try it!
After testing PhraseExpress for sometime, I can’t believe that they are giving this wonderful piece of software for free! Believe me, this nifty keyboard utility will definitely speed up and reduce your typing time. Besides the example shown above, there are many other ways that you can use PhraseExpress to ease your typing needs. Still not convinced to download and use PhraseExpress?
