Use PhotoScape Photo Editor As Color Picker

January 20, 2008 – 11:05 pm

I’ve posted some tips on Photoscape such as how to add amazing backlight effects, combine multiple photos and more, yet there are so many other tools that are built-in inside this cool photo editor. In this post, I will show you how to use Photoscape as a color picker.

1- Open Photoscape and click the “Color Picker” option.

2- You can see the color picker tool on top left of the pop up box. Drag it to the item / images that you want to color pick. In this example, I tried to pick a color from a desktop icon. You can see that the icon will be zoomed inside the color picker tool to make it easier for you to choose the exact color that you wish for.

3- Let go of your finger from the mouse when you have successfully choose the color that you want. The color hex code will be displayed on the bottom left of the color picker interface.

You can copy the color code to the clipboard to use it. Additionally, Photoscape’s color picker tool also saves your color picking history automatically to the bottom right of the interface so that you can use it over and over again.

That is easy! Try it!

  3. @Deanna: I don’t think Photoscape can accomplished this. The only thing that I can find is the red-eye removal tool.
