Utilize a Mouse’s Double Right Click with ClickZap

January 19, 2008 – 8:31 pm

Single click, OK. Double left click, check. Try a double right click with your mouse. What?

Yeah, I’ve found a freeware that actually utilizes double right clicking on your Windows PC. The free program is called ClickZap and it lets you perform simple Windows based actions by utilizing double right clicking with your mouse.

You need to download ClickZap before you can use it. (Yeah, it is not built in Windows, duh!). Once installed, you need to run the “ClickZap Configuration Tool” to choose the action that it will perform once you double right click your mouse.

Set ClickZap to do these with a double right click:

  • Lock your computer
  • Log off
  • Shutdown computer (Love this!)
  • Minimize Active Windows
  • Minimize All Windows
  • Close Active Window
  • Close All Windows
  • Mute sound

Sadly, some nasty open programs does not allow ClickZap to perform its action with a double right click. To get past this, you need to triple right click (lol!). I hope that ClickZap can do more actions in the next version if there is any. Currently, I am happy to use ClickZap to do a superfast Windows shutdown!

p/s You can fool your friends with ClickZap too. Let them wonder how to do the superfast shutdown like you do!
