Quick Way to Share Screenshot and Web Publishing with Clip2Net

January 7, 2008 – 10:08 pm

Have you ever been in a situation when you are browsing the Internet or running some fancy applications, and wish that you can share the screen shots with your friend with the less amount of effort possible? The old way to do this is by pressing the screen shot button, paste it into your graphic application, edit it and upload it to your friend with emails. Too slow!

With Clip2Net, you now have the option to share and publish your screenshot in a faster and easier way.

Clip2Net is a freeware that claims to be “the easiest way of web publishing and file sharing“.You need to download Clip2Net and install it as any normal software (duh!), run it, and you will get a new icon running on your Windows tray.

Let us say that I want to share a section of my web page with a friend. To capture the section, I need to left-click on the Click2Net icon OR right click and choose “Publish Desktop Area” on the menu. Then I have to drag my cursor around the area that I want to share.

When I release my left mouse button, Click2Net will capture the area automatically and show it inside its editing interface.

From the interface, some basic image editing can be done (add arrows, underline links, add comment, etc.). Then I need to click “Publish” to complete the process. To protect the image from prying eyes, a password can also be set.

Clip2Net will actually uploaded your image to its server and offer you two pieces of information:

  1. Image URL - you get an URL to the image that you can distribute for quick-web-sharing.
  2. Publish Code - an image link (HTML) to the image that you can use to publish on your website / blog.

That was easy! Why don’t you try it and leave some comments here if you agree that Clip2Net is “the easiest way of web publishing and file sharing”. For me, as long as it works, I don’t care. Lol!

Bonus Tip 1: You can also share files instantly with Clip2Net (just like Drop.io). Check out the “Show drop zone” option.

Bonus Tip 2: Be a member of Clip2Net and have your uploaded images available at any time instead of the default 5 days only.
