January 4, 2008 – 8:48 pmFileMenu Tools is an awesome freeware that adds Windows Explorer related tools to your Windows right-click context menu. I’ve installed it on my personal computer and found out that the built in tools are very useful for daily computer usage. Moreover, all of them are available instantly with a simple mouse right-click!

Here are the FileMenu built-in tools that I’ve found most useful:
- Copy / Move To - simple file copy and move tool.
- Copy Path - copy the path of a folder / file to the clipboard by right clicking on it.
- Copy Content - right click on a text file to copy its content without opening it.
- Attributes - change a file / folder status to read only, hidden and more.
- Split / Join File - integrated file splitter and joiner. Cool!

- Find / Replace - select multiple and files and replace words inside them without opening the file itself!
- Advanced Renamer - bulk rename files, useful to rename photos / images.
- Synchronize folders - make sure contents on two folders is the same, useful for instant backup.
- Delete and move to recycle bin - works the same as deleting a file while pressing the SHIFT key.
- Shred files - makes it more difficult for others to recover a private, deleted file.
- Size of folder - an awesome hard disk management tool, similar of what JDiskReport can do.

Other fantastic usages of FileMenu Tools:
- Customize “Send to” - add more destinations for copying a file instantly to various folders in Windows.

- Enable / disable context menu commands - e.g If you want to get rid of things on your right click menu, do it with FileMenu Tools. Useful to trim down your cluttered context menu.
- Add your own command - You can even add shortcuts / command to your favorite applications!
To sum it up, FileMenu Tools is a fantastic tool to manage your Windows right-click context menu. It also increase its usefulness with built in file tools that you can normally find in multiple separate applications. With the ability to add more command inside it, this freeware will come handy for even the most demanding Windows users.
Tip: If you don’t like some of the built-in tool, you can disable it too!
