Freeware: tabbyFile, Enhanced Windows Explorer with Tab Support
October 10, 2007 – 12:02 amtabbyFile is yet another Windows Explorer alternative that lets you open many Explorer windows at once in tabs, instead of having many Windows Explorer cluttering your task bar. I’ve used it a few times before and it does its job well enough to replace my default Windows Explorer.

Why tabbyFile is Better than Windows Explorer
- Tabbed multiple Explorer windows - tabbyFile arranged your Explorer windows in tabs, thus making your task bar less clutter-ish.
- Folder favorites - you can tag your favorite Windows explorer folders as favorites for quick access.
- Two Explorer windows (optional) - double up your file management productivity with double Explorer windows. Copy and move files with ease.
- Toggle file deletion confirmation on / off - advisable for the brave.
- Save your Windows tabs - save your tab layout for next tabbyFile session. You can save as many tab layout as you want.
- Hotkeys support - Alt + C to close tab or Alt + X ? You decide.
- Filter support - e.g Key in .exe and tabbyFile will only display executable fiiles on its interface. Nice!
- Fast yet minimalist design.
