Freeware: Defrag Disk, Files or Folders with Piriform Defraggler
October 4, 2007 – 10:28 pmPiriform Defraggler is another free Windows defragmentation program with a twist. Instead of defragging all your hard drive (which takes quite a long time to finish), you can opt to defrag a portion of the hard drive, be it a fragmented files or folders.

How to Use Piriform Defraggler
1- Select a disk drive and click Analyze.
2- Piriform Defraggler will list down all of your fragmented files on the specific drive, the most fragmented files will be listed on top. You can also check the location of files on the defragmentation view by right clicking on a file and click “Highlight Folder“.

3- Select a defragmented file to do a quick file defragmentation or select all files for a complete disk defragmentation. Don’t forget to click the “Defrag” button!
That was easy! While it is still in beta, Piriform Defraggler works just nice for me. The interface is super easy and it offers another good, free alternative to Windows Disk Defragmenter. Windows Vista users should also benefit from this freeware because it is supported too. Test drive it today and kindly leave some comments about it here!

I’ve used a similar tool by the name ‘Power Defragmenter’ I guess.
Will try this the next time I defrag my hard disk. Thanks for sharing.
