Firefox Fun: Find Similar Content From Favorite Blogs with Blogrovr

To overcome this problem, a Firefox extension called BlogRovr offers quite a nice solution. Once installed, Blogrovr will find similar contents on what you are browsing right now (things that interests you) so that you don’t have to open many pages at once, leaving you with the news that you really cared about.
How BlogRovr Works
This modus operandi of BlogRovr is very simple. Right after installation, you need to register with BlogRovr to create a Blogrovr account. BlogRovr will then offer you popular sites to be selected (you can installed it in bundle) or you can also add your favorites sites if it is not listed there.
The next time you open a web page that interests you, BlogRovr will search your pre-selected favorite sites to find similar contents, thus saving you some precious time. It will display its findings in a nice auto-hide enabled docking tray. If you find any interesting things inside it, you can simply click the title to open up a brief summary of a post and you can also maximize it to open the complete page.
How to Use BlogRovr Effectively
1- If you are a blogaholic, you can add as many sites to BlogRovr but not to your RSS Reader. This is quite efficient for reading less popular blogs. With Blogrovr, you will only get the best content.
2- Double the power of BlogRovr with Google Reader. If you are reading a post in your subscribed RSS feeds, BlogRovr will effectively find similar contents from the sites you subscribed using Blogrovr.
One way that I use BlogRovr is to catch up with the latest, popular news that people / my favorite bloggers are talking about. It will immediately tell me more about the things that I want to know, at that time. Try it today and I think you will fall in love with this fun Firefox extension.
Bonus Tip: You can send Twitter updates with BlogRovr. If you find a nice web page that you want to share, click the “Twitter this” icon on the BlogRovr toolbar.
