Firefox Fun: View Internet Explorer with IE Tab Extension
September 12, 2007 – 11:58 amIE Tab is a Firefox extension / add-on that let you view Internet Explorer rendered pages inside Mozilla Firefox. How cool is that? I can think of two great use for this. First, sometimes a web page is specially designed for Internet Explorer and if you are trying to view the page with Mozilla Firefox, only garbage will be displayed. Secondly, developers don’t have to switch browsers to compare their web page looks across multiple browsers, which are Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

IE Tab Installation
Installation is very easy. Open the IE Tab Add-on download page with Firefox and click “Install Now (Windows)“. When prompted, click the “Install” button. Restart your Firefox browser to activate IE Tab.
Usage
To use IE Tab, left click on the Firefox icon at the bottom right of the Firefox browser. The icon will then change to an Internet Explorer icon, meaning that your page is now currently on IE mode. If you middle click on the icon, a new embedded IE Tab will load up inside your Firefox browser. Other than that, a right click on the icon will let you change IE Tab options.
