HTTP-Errorcode 406: Blogdesk or Wordpress Error?
September 10, 2007 – 11:00 amI am currently unable to post a to Wordpress via Blogdesk. I am currently getting this error:
“HTTP-Errorcode: 406 - NONE ACCEPTABLE - No responses acceptable to the client were found.” Annoying and makes a blogger unproductive. Yawn!
If this posts succeeds, maybe it is because my posts is too long. Maybe. Any ideas?
SOLVED! - Thanks to Urban Giraffe! Mod_Security is the culprit!

I’ve use the solution given but still HTTP 406 problem cannot solve and create new error :500 Internal server error .
any idea ?

You are getting 503 errors because with Mod security 2, this is no longer valid. I’ve written about it and a workaround at
