Access Del.icio.us Bookmarks Locally with Localdeli
August 22, 2007 – 10:54 pmLocaldeli or local delicious is a Windows client that lets you access all your bookmarks on Del.icio.us social bookmarking sites without having to fire-up your web browser.

If you have absolutely no idea what Del.icio.us is and think that social bookmarking is for socialists, you are in serious need of this excellent video tutorial on Del.icio.us . Have fun with Del.icio.us first and then you can try out Localdeli by following the instructions below.
How To Use Localdeli
1- Download Localdeli, unzip localdeli.zip and run Setup.exe to install Localdeli.
2- Run Localdeli by selecting LocalDeli.exe from your Windows Start Menu.
3- Insert your Del.icio.us username password on bottom right of the Localdeli console.
4- Click Update on bottom left to let Localdeli fetch your bookmarks from the Del.icio.us. By default, Localdeli will show all your bookmarks.
5- You can use the Search Bar on top of Localdeli to search your bookmarks for a specific keywords. You can limit your search results to Tags, Description or you can use the default Search All function for a much broader search results.
5- Click on an entry to open the web page on your browser
If you haven’t yet join the social bookmarkers bandwagon, it is time to do so. It makes your favorite bookmarks available to you anywhere at anytime. Localdeli makes it even easier to access your bookmarks from an easy to use local console.
Bonus Localdeli Tips: You can delete unnecessary bookmarks by right clicking on an entry and click Delete from Del.icio.us.
