Enhance Gmail Labels with Gmail Colorizer Greasemonkey Script

For some reasons, Gmail, Google’s free web mail implementation choose labels instead of folders. Labels is okay for a mailbox that contains small number of documents but when the mailbox gets too big, some visual cues are needed to easily find mail documents quickly.
Add Extra Spice To Gmail Labels
This is where Gmail Colorize script for Greasemonkey comes in. Gmail Colorizer adds colors to your mail documents based on their labels. For example, documents with the “personal” label will be in green, “work” documents will be in blue and so on.
Install Gmail Colorizer Step by Step

2- Install Greasemonkey plugins if you don’t have it already. Here is how to install the greasemonkey plugin. You have to restart Firefox after that and make sure you have the Greasemonkey icon on the bottom right of Firefox.
3- Open Gmail Colorizer’s webpage with Firefox and click “Install Script“.
4- Right click on the Greasemonkey icon, click “Manage user scripts“.

5- Make sure Gmail Colorizer is selected and the setting is “Enabled”. Click OK to close Greasemonkey setup.

6- Login to your Gmail mailbox. Now your labels are in nice, vibrant colors.

Now you can easily find your mail documents not just by labels, but with extra visual cues with Gmail Colorizer Greasemonkey script. Enjoy!
