Ever wonder what technologies popular sites like Mashable.com or Problogger.net are using for their page? Enter Builtwith. It claims itself as the “Web Page Technology Profiler“.
What can you do with Builtwith?
Builtwith lets you enter a site name e.g TechMalaya.com in one field and click the “Lookup” button. Here is some technological information that what you will get for that site (depends on availability):
- Server and web server information - e.g Apache, IIS
- Blog publishing software - e.g Wordpress
- Frameworks - e.g php, asp.
- Aggregation functionality - e.g rss, pingback
- Other document information - e.g Javascript, CSS
- Encoding - e.g utf8
- Javascript Libraries used
